By accessing or using Zibyl at app.zibyl.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Zibyl is a personal cash flow forecasting application that allows users to:
- Track bank account balances through manual entry
- Record and categorise transactions
- Set up recurring financial rules
- Project future cash flow based on entered data
- Create what-if scenarios for financial planning
- Export and back up financial data
Zibyl is a planning tool, not a financial advisor. Projections are based entirely on the data you enter and should not be relied upon as financial advice.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Use the Service to store data unrelated to personal finance management
- Create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing usage policies
- Scrape, crawl, or automated access to the Service without prior written consent
5. Intellectual Property
The Zibyl name, logo, visual design, and application code are the intellectual property of Zibyl and its creators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written permission.
Open-source libraries used in the Service retain their respective licences.
6. Data Ownership
You own your data. All financial information you enter into Zibyl belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of, or any intellectual property rights over, the data you create within the Service.
You may export or delete your data at any time using the tools provided in the application’s Settings page. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy or reliability of projections and calculations
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Security against all possible threats
Zibyl is a forecasting tool based on user-entered data. Projections are estimates and should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions. We recommend consulting a qualified financial professional for significant financial choices.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zibyl and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Financial losses resulting from inaccurate projections
- Damages resulting from unauthorised access to your account
- Service interruptions or data loss
Our total liability for any claims arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which is $0, as Zibyl is free).
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us at hello@zibyl.app.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraudulent or abusive purposes. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via email or in-app notice.
