Why is Zibyl free?
Zibyl is a personal project built to solve a real problem. There are no investors to repay, no team to pay, and no growth targets to hit. The infrastructure costs are low (a database and a hosting service), and the goal has always been utility — not revenue.
I built this because I needed it myself, and I believe others shouldn’t have to pay for a tool that helps them avoid financial surprises. If it helps even one person dodge an overdraft fee, it’s worth it.

Zibyl runs on minimal infrastructure — a managed database and static hosting. There is no team to pay and no office to rent. The costs are low enough to sustain indefinitely as a personal project.
